If you’ve wandered onto this blog, thank you for visiting! My name’s Aaron Yuen and I’m a Christian from Melbourne, Australia. I created this blog as a way to express what I’ve learnt through the study of God’s Word – the Bible. Through the years, I’ve tried many ways to collect and record my thoughts; through song, poems, journals, even moleskines! But now, I’m going to dive into the world of blogging!

…the internet

The internet is a strange (and dangerous) thing. On one hand, it is such an extraordinary tool for people to connect with others all across the world. But on the other hand, the world-wide-web is constantly being abused and misused. In 2006, 42.7% of Internet users were viewing pornography and in that year alone worldwide pornography revenues amassed to a staggering $US 97.06 billion. Whilst the Internet can be used for good, it clearly has and is being used for evil. Right now, countless men and women (as well as Christians) can succumb to the traps of this alluring cyber-world.

Thankfully, there are many websites out there that have strong men and women of God pouring out their lives and offering support, encouragement, tools and networks for people to experience the love, grace and forgiveness that Christ poured out on us through the cross. I hope and pray that this blog will do the same not only for my own life but for others.

…final thoughts

This blog really was written as a way for myself to write down what God has been teaching me and if it so happens to benefit you, then I praise God that He has used this site in encouraging others. The things that I write on this blog, I commit them to God and will write it according to His Word – the Bible. I pray that the words I write in this blog will proclaim His Truth unswervingly; founded in Christ, tested against God’s Word and only through the strength and working of the Holy Spirit.

I pray, not only for those who read this blog, but for myself especially, as Paul wrote in Epehsians 3:17-18:

“16I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
